About Me

At 1776 Tax, LLC, I advise individuals and business owners who expect precision, structure, and financial decisions that withstand scrutiny. The work is deliberate—rooted in disciplined analysis, clean execution, and strategy that treats business operations and tax outcomes as a single, integrated system.

I’m Evan Brown, MBA, Managing Director of 1776 Tax, LLC. Every engagement is led directly by me. Clients are not handed off or processed through templates; they receive experienced oversight, clear reasoning, and judgment grounded in data, documentation, and context.

My background spans high-accountability financial environments. I hold a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance (Cum Laude), and I have served in senior financial roles with Fortune 500 U.S. government contractors, as a Fiscal Officer for the State of Colorado, and as a Multi-Functional Financial Analyst at Lockheed Martin Space Systems. In these roles, I supported multimillion-dollar budgets, federal grants, acquisitions, and long-range planning within GAAP and government accounting standards, where precision and defensibility are non-negotiable.

In addition to my advisory work, I serve as Secretary of the Board for Food For Hope, contributing to governance, oversight, and financial stewardship in a mission-driven environment. I am also the owner of Open Kimono Publishing, providing firsthand experience as an operator responsible for strategy, budgeting, and execution—not just advisory theory.

That combined experience informs how I serve clients today. Business consulting leads the work, with tax preparation and non-representational audit support executed in alignment with the underlying financial structure. Services include business and nonprofit consulting, financial analysis and budgeting support, tax preparation, proactive planning discussions, and audit-support services focused on organization, consistency, and compliance.

All services are delivered through a secure, remote-first workflow designed for confidentiality, efficiency, and control. When necessary, I conduct onsite visits to understand the full scope of your organization’s operations and financial picture and to ensure my guidance is grounded in real-world context. The objective is not just filing or advice—it is clarity, defensibility, and confidence in every financial decision.
